One street, harbour to mountain road. The cobbles are laid in a perfect grid. *

The co-op's gilt reads backwards, every letter perfectly spaced. *

A brass-eyed KLÓI crosses the street on exactly the same line as last time. His claws are steady. *

THE OTHER KLÓI: Morning.

Through the workshop window, the recipe card: fish stew, a good pinch of BRASS OXIDE. *

At the street's end, a door that was never finished. *

UNFINISHED DOOR, with the lantern. PULL BACK glides back to the first street.
