TIDEFLAT, back to the harbour

TIDEFLAT · shooting script
Close on a brass panel in a stone wall. Gauges, copper pipes with green patina, a painted sun-face, a small wooden flip-board, and a lobster's claw holding up an iron key on a leather cord.

1AINSERT – THE ORGAN PANEL1A

Brass, copper and verdigris. Gauges. A painted sun-face smiles from the brass. Count its rays, if you like.

Klói's claw holds up an iron key on a leather cord. A paper tag hangs from it. The claw shakes.

KLÓI: It wants to help.

The key turns. Three bright bells, rising. The board clacks: FRIENDLY MODE.

Out in the harbour, every buoy turns at once to show a painted sun-face.

ÁSTRÍÐUR (O.S.): Look! It has a face!

TURN the key, or wait, and Klói turns it himself. Then OPEN the hatch below the board. PULL BACK returns to the harbour.
