5INT. THE COMMUNITY HALL – DAY5
A timber hall, cut away like a doll's house. A podium under a blue FLATEYRI banner. Council chairs, each with a brass speaking horn on an arm. A window onto the fjord.
In the corner, the Civic Ledger: a cabinet piped through the wall, with a stamp arm and a small flip-board.
ERLA, the mayor, a fox with a crooked blue sash, holds out a brass-capped pen. Page one is in Nessa's hand.
GARÐAR: The rest is standard operational language.
THE CHARTER
Erla, the mayor, offers you her pen. Page one of the Convenience Charter is in Nessa's hand; Garðar says the rest is standard.
Sign by dragging, by typing your initials, or with an X. The Civic Ledger stamps it before your pen lifts.
Pages two to seven turn by themselves. Each clause makes the hall a little smoother: no tremble, new pipes, yellow smoke, a stamped objection, a gliding camera, no wind.
Bjarki writes: Unforced error. Page one.
THE CHARTER: take the pen and sign. THE STREET is out the door. PULL BACK shows the set.
